Eligibility criteria

These are the eligibility criteria to enjoy BIMB Mobile & BIMB Web Lite access:
Aged between 12 to 17 years old
Hold an Individual Account with Bank Islam
An active Bank Islam Debit Card-i account holder
Visit a Bank Islam branch with a parent/guardian to sign the Indemnity Form
Note

If you’ve previously signed the Indemnity Form for Bank Islam Debit Card-i, you will still need to visit the branch again for BIMB Mobile & BIMB Web Lite version access.

How to register?

Step 1

Visit your nearest Bank Islam branch with your parent/guardian

Step 2

Sign the Indemnity Form for BIMB Mobile/BIMB Web access.

Step 3

Download the BIMB Mobile App or log on to BIMB Web.

Step 4

Enter your bank account or debit card number and complete the details required

Step 5

Activate online access:

  • If you have a Debit Card-i: Activate via ATM
  • If you don’t have a Debit Card-i: Activate at the branch

Wait for the 12-hour cooling-off period to complete.

Transaction Limits

For your security, BIMB Mobile & BIMB Web Lite have a combined daily transaction limit of RM300, which covers:

  • Fund transfers
  • Bill payments
  • Other monetary activities

Frequently asked questions

BIMB Lite is a service offered to Bank Islam’s customers aged 12 to 17 (here in after refers as Minor) to access BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web with limited features and transaction daily limit. BIMB Lite requires Minor’s parent or legal guardian’s consent/ authorization prior to the registration before the Minor can subscribe to the service.
What is eligibility criteria for BIMB Lite?
  • Customers aged 12–17 years old (Minor).
  • Must hold an active individual Bank Islam Savings Account/ Debit Card-i.
  • Parent or legal guardian of the Minor has signed the Letter of Indemnity (LI).
How do I register for BIMB Lite?

Before you can register for BIMB Lite, you must fulfil eligibility criteria as mentioned above. For the LI, your parent or legal guardian need to visit any Bank Islam branch together with the following document for the verification purposes

  • Parent/guardian's identification document.
  • Your identification document, and either your birth certificate or other legal documents to prove the relationship.

What happens when I turn 18 years old?
Once you turned 18, your BIMB Lite account will be upgraded to normal BIMB Web and BIMB Mobile where you will have access to BIMB Web and BIMB Mobile features and higher transaction limit. You will receive a push notification and an email to let you know your BIMB Lite account has been updated. You can continue using the same BIMB Mobile application or BIMB Web without the need to reinstall or update the application manually.
